An addictive, twisty crime thriller with shades of Serial and Making a Murderer about a closed local murder case that doesn’t add up, and a girl who’s determined to find the real killer–but not everyone wants her meddling in the past.
My Thoughts
This book, as I like to call it, was very “pickup-able”. It did very well in getting me interested in the beginning and keeping me interested through-out.
I also found that this book lacked the typical “slow” points that a lot may have somewhere in the story. There was zero filler, in my opinion.
What I did enjoy was the mystery and the turns, the unturned stones that showed more secrets and it was all believable.
It didn’t strike me as unbelievable, or too unbelievable to be believed. It all seemed within the realm of possibility and reasoning as all the things that happened in the story, does happen in real life.
If you enjoy YA mysteries with secrets, investigation, and some humor, definitely give this book (and series!) a try.
